Holly the Hedgehog

We found a baby hedgehog whose mother had been killed.

We brought her home and called her Holly.

She loved dogfood.

I had to wear special gloves to hold her.

When she was grown we set her free.
I think she was a bit sad to leave.

We made a special book so that we could remember Holly.

Hedgehogs

These are our hedgehogs that we made from clay.

Kittens

Jodie and Airon brought in their kittens to show to the rest of the class. They were so cute! Some of them didn't have their eyes open. We were allowed hold them as long as we didn't squeeze their tummies.
Everyone got to hold one and then we brought them in to the Junior Infants. They didn't want to give them back!

Even Mr Neylon came to see our tiny visitors.

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day was a fine, sunny day so it was perfect for marching. We dressed up as our favourite pop stars. There was singing and dancing and cheering along the way. We were tired by the time we got to the end!

Soccer Trophy

I won this trophy for playing soccer.

Certificate for Swimming

I love swimming. I go every week.
This week I got a certificate for finishing the course.

Otter Prints

Look what I found beside the river. Otter Prints!
I brought them in to show them to the rest of the class.
We found out that otters are nocturnal animals
so these prints must have been made during the night.

Go Games

On our last hurling training day, Gerry, our hurling trainer, took First and Second class for Go Games. He divided the classes into eight teams. Then we played each other. We used all the skills that we had learned during the year. We didn't keep scores so there were no winners or losers. Everyone who took part had a great time. Looking forward to hurling training next year.
