Drawing a Tree

Last week we decided to do some drawing. It was a fine day so we went outside. We picked a tree and drew that . The pictures all looked different. The next day we made a frame for our picture.

This is the tree we drew.

Here are all the pictures.

What Lies Beyond the Rainbow.

Have you ever wondered what lies beyond the rainbow?
Rose often did.
As she lay in the middle of the garden and listened to the waterfall, she heard a sound coming from the waterfall.
As she turned to look she saw a beautiful unicorn coming through the waterfall.
He was as white as snow and his golden horn gleamed as though someone had been polishing it for hours.
As Rose gazed at the unicorn, he said in a deep voice "Welcome Rose, you have been chosen be a fairy guardian.
We will entrust fairy secrets to you if you promise to keep them safe from goblin eyes.
Do you accept this challenge?"
Then Rose muttered in a voice that was hard to hear “Yes,
I accept the challenge”.
Then the unicorn pushed her on to his back and together they galloped upwards and through the rainbow.
Rose gasped.
Fairyland was even more beautiful than she could have ever imagined!
The fairies were so sweet and friendly and all the unicorns were graceful and beautiful.
The only bad thing about Fairyland was the black castle in the distance.
“That’s the border between Fairyland and the Dark land,” said the fairies.
“It’s the place you need to go if you want to find the fairy secrets.
The secrets are in a locked box in the middle of the castle.
Look out for the goblins”.
With that Rose turned to face the castle and began to walk towards the castle.
When she got to the castle she went straight to the place where the secrets were kept.
Fortunately for her there was nobody there.
She got the secrets and headed for the door.
Just as she reached it a voice shouted, “STOP!”
Rose ran for her life.
Over hills and valleys, across streams and rivers and finally got to the portal to Fairyland.
She jumped through the portal and arrived back in Fairyland.
The fairy secrets were safe at last and they all lived happily ever after.

Meeting a POPSTAR!!!

Once there was a really spoilt girl called Ashley.
She loved her life until her Dad cut her allowance, and guess what was coming up, her Sweet Sixteen Party.
She was so upset that she was crying, and then she said “My Dad is the worst person on earth.”
Then something came in the post.
“Mum, Mum, guess what came in the post”.
Six tickets to the Hannah Montana concert in London.” She was really excited.
She picked up the phone and rang her friends.
She picked two girls called Vanessa and Olivia,
and two boys called Jake and Elliott.
They were her best friends.
Her Mum also came. So off they went to the concert.
When they got there Hannah Montana was on stage.
When Hannah Montana saw Ashley
She said “Do you want to come on stage with me?”
“Yes” said Ashley.
So Ashley went on stage with Hannah Montana,
and said “This is the best day of my life”.
And they all lived happily ever after.

Counting Tree Rings

Carmel brought in some wood from a tree that Billy cut down. We counted the rings. The tree was 14 years old. It is older than us!
