First Confession



We had our First Confession in March. This is a photo of us afterwards with Fr. King and Fr. Charlie.

Galway Science Fair

Me and my sister were at the Galway Science Fair. There were all kinds of things. There were Exploding Vegetables, Mad Science and Lego. We took a photo of all of us.
It was fun. The best of all was the Exploding Vegetables.

Cora Harrison







One day a lady called Cora Harrison came to our class to talk about the books she wrote. First she talked about The Wolf and the Frozen Mist. She told us the story about a dog called Wolf and a boy called Mark. Mark wanted a dog and his Dad promised him one for his birthday. Mark didn't know that Wolf was actually a magic dog. Cora signed some of our books. We enjoyed her visit.

Exploring Magnets








We were learning about magnets and we wanted to find out if a magnet would work through paper. We got a paperclip and a magnet. Then the magnet moved the paperclip across the page.

Volcano Photos



We made a volcano out of clay. Then we made it erupt by mixing baking soda and vinegar. I told my Mum that we were learning about volcanoes. She let me bring in some photos that she took when she went to Italy. She saw the ruins of Pompeii which was covered by a volcano. There was a girl and a mom making bread. There was a man in a scared position and you could still see his teeth. There were lots of ruins too. I showed them to the class.

Volcano









One day we made a volcano. We made the volcano out of clay. We used plastic knives to make it. it took us two days to make the volcano. First Abbey put in baking soda. Next Fabian put in vinegar. Then the volcano erupted. It was fun!

Relay Medals



We represented Athenry Athletics Club in Nenagh. At the start of the race we didn't have much speed. Then we speeded up to second and then to first. The finish was great. We got medals.

Prize Winning Piano Player



I did my Grade 1 piano exam before Christmas. I got 94%. I was very happy. Now I am going to do Grade 2.

Feis



I was at a Feis last week. I got three medals and a trophy. I did four dances. The three medals were for the slip Jig, Single Jig and Heavy Jig. The trophy was for the B Reel. I had lots of friends there. My cousins were there too. I was so excited!

High School Musical Competition



We were doing a competition to design a High School Musical poster for the EYE cinema and I won! The prize was a HSM3 poster, flask and ball. I also got six tickets to see High School Musical 3. I was so excited!
